Usage and limits
ElevateU is free
Not free-for-now, and not a trial. ElevateU is built and run by an F-1 student, and an F-1 student cannot charge for a product. There is no plan to buy, no card to enter, and no upgrade button anywhere in the app.

Where the limits are
One thing in ElevateU costs real money every time it runs: writing a tailored resume and cover letter for a specific job. That is a paid AI call, and the operator pays it. So it is the only thing with a ceiling, and there are two allowances because there are two ways it happens.

Everything else — searching, scoring, sponsorship checks, the resume check, the whole Study side — is unlimited. Those are cheap or free to run, and rationing them would make the product feel broken rather than tiered.
Connecting your own AI key
The ceiling exists to bound one person’s bill. If you bring your own OpenAI or Groq key you are not touching that bill, so the ceiling does not apply to you — which is the whole reason there is no paid tier. Keys are stored encrypted, used only for your own requests, and you can remove one at any time.

- Submit an application for you. Drafts are prepared; you read them and apply yourself. That is a deliberate decision about job-board terms of service, not a missing feature.
- Invent experience you do not have. Tailored resumes reorder and reword what is already yours. Claims your resume cannot support are removed before you ever see the draft.
- Sell or share your data. No ads, no data brokers, no cross-site tracking.
